- 0.5 lb Wheat Malt
- 1 oz Cascade Hops (60 minutes)
- 1 oz Citra Hops (15 minutes)
- 1 oz Amarillo Hops (0 minutes)
- Kveik Yeast (such as Voss or Stranda)

Instructions:
Follow these steps to brew your own Bygland For the Love of Kveik:
- Mash the Grains: Begin by mashing the Pale Malt, Caramalt, and Wheat Malt in approximately 3 gallons of water at 152°F for 60 minutes.
- Boil the Wort: After mashing, sparge your grains and bring the wort to a boil. Add the Cascade hops immediately and boil for 60 minutes.
- Add Flavor Hops: With 15 minutes left in the boil, add the Citra hops and allow them to infuse their flavors into the wort. At the end of the boil, add the Amarillo hops just before cooling.
- Cool and Ferment: Cool the wort to around 75°F and transfer it to a sanitized fermenter. Pitch the Kveik yeast and seal with an airlock.
- Fermentation: Allow the beer to ferment for about one week at a temperature recommended for your Kveik strain. Kveik yeast can handle higher temperatures, which makes it an excellent choice for quick ferments.
- Bottle and Carbonate: Once fermentation is complete, prepare your priming sugar, mix it thoroughly with the beer, and bottle it. Allow the bottles to carbonate for an additional week or two.
- Enjoy: After proper carbonation, chill your bottles and enjoy the refreshing flavors of Bygland For the Love of Kveik!
By following this recipe, you’ll create a delicious craft beer that showcases the unique qualities of Kveik yeast, captivating both your palate and that of your fellow enthusiasts. Happy brewing!
